The reformed Grote Kerk ("Great Church") or Bartholomeuskerk was founded in the early-14th century, but was rebuilt many times since. The lower part of the tower is in Campine Gothic style, while the upper part is in Classical style.

Brandenburgh is the name of this old house that dates from before the 17th century, when it was rebuilt into a soap-facory. In 1838 it became a synagogue and in 1868 the current neo-Classical facade was added.

The Roman-Catholic St. Bartholomeus is a one-aisled building, designed by E.J. Margry in a combination of neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque styles. It was built in 1871-1873.

The remonstrant church is a one-aisled building in a neo-Classical style with references to Romanesque. It was built in 1881 and was designed by an unknown architect.

The old-catholic St. Bartholomeus dates from 1905 and replaced a hidden church from 1784. It was built in Rationalist style and designed by J.G. Copper.
